Demna Gvasalia sent yet another typically bizarre shoe down the Balenciaga AW20 Paris Fashion Week show runway this weekend. This time it's an aqua toe shoe, and it's as divisive as ever.

This season, Gvasalia had climate change on his mind and his answer to rising sea levels? A water shoe with separate pockets for each toe, of course. The design comes in black, blue, and red colors, and isn't too dissimilar from the Suicoke x Vibram "FiveFingers" collab we saw last month.

This is not, of course, the first time a Balenciaga show released an ugly, opinion-dividing, taste-questioning shoe. The label unveiled its Crocs platforms in October 2017 and, recently, Lonsdale-like Zen sneakers, which really confused the internet.

It wasn't all weird, though. The AW20 show also featured thigh-high leather boots and pointy stilettos, which you can take a look at here.
